Celestial Signals

A living signal intervention

Every phone, watch, and wearable constantly emits Bluetooth signals — small invisible transmissions announcing presence to any device in range. Most go undetected.

A sensing device installed in a physical space is intercepting those transmissions right now and streaming them here, live. Each detected signal becomes a particle in three-dimensional space. Proximity becomes pitch. The people whose devices are being picked up don't know they're part of this.

The work runs continuously, whether anyone is watching or not.
